We are partnering with BaQyard Babes (Chicago based Queer Community Event & Workshop Collective) to bring you a silk scarf + cotton bandana dyeing workshop! This event will be apart of their WorQshop Series & we are excited to offer sliding scale discount codes for this workshop. Discount codes have no cap and may be used by anyone and everyone that could benefit from them :)

Join us at the Laila Textiles Studio to discover the art of natural bundle dyeing. In this 3 hour workshop led by natural dyer Liz Mortensen, you'll learn the basics of natural dye and how to bundle dye with plants.

Workshop will cover:

• Basics of natural dyeing including fabric prep, mordants, and modifiers

• Overview of natural dye plants and how to extract plant dye

• How to naturally bundle dye fabric with dried plants

• Each student will create and leave with a one-of-a kind bundle dyed 100% silk scarf (21x21 inches) or 100% cotton bandana (20x20 inches) as well as a PDF with information covered at workshop

*we have enough for everyone to either dye a silk scarf or cotton bandana, you can switch your project day of if you change your mind!
